Vietnam-China friendship tree planting ceremony held in Binh Duong

The People's Committee of Binh Duong province and the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City organised a Vietnam-China friendship tree planting ceremony at Thu Dau Mot University in Ben Cat city on June 5.

Binh Duong (VNA) – The People's Committee of Binh Duong province and the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City organised a Vietnam-China friendship tree planting ceremony at Thu Dau Mot University in Ben Cat city on June 5.

The event took place on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations (January 18, 1950 - 2025) and in response to World Environment Day on June 5. During the event, delegates planted 70 trees on the university’s campus.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Bui Minh Thanh emphasised that tree planting is an activity with profound symbolic meaning, demonstrating the solidarity and attachment between the province and the Chinese Consulate General in HCM City. The event also demonstrates the spirit of cooperation between the two countries, contributing to building a green, clean, and beautiful living environment, towards a sustainable future.

Acting Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City Xu Zhou hailed Binh Duong and Thu Dau Mot University for organising the event which is a vivid symbol of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China.

The Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to promote its role as a bridge, enhance humanistic exchanges and substantive cooperation between localities, contributing to bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries, he said.

China, with 1,844 projects worth total capital of more than 11.3 billion USD, is the leading country among 65 countries and territories with investment projects in Binh Duong./.
