Hanoi (VNA) – A business forum, co-hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark and FPT Office in North Europe on February 27, showcased Vietnam as a land of opportunities for Nordic enterprises.

In his opening speech, Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi said the event offers a platform for Vietnamese and Danish partners to share information, experiences, and their needs in innovation, digital transformation, and application of artificial intelligence (AI), thus exploring potential partnerships in the future.

He highlighted the positive growth of Vietnam-Denmark relations, built on multiple cooperation frameworks across trade, investment, digital transformation, green transition, and sustainable development.

Vietnam is an attractive destination for international investors, including Danish companies, he said, hailing Denmark as one of Vietnam’s key trade and investment partners, with quality projects from renowned firms like LEGO, Maersk, Pandora, and Carlsberg.

The Vietnamese Embassy will continue serving as a bridge to support bilateral business and investment ties, especially in sci-tech, innovation, and digital transformation, he said.

Chu Thi Thanh Ha, Chairwoman of FPT Software, provided an overview of FPT Corporation, its software subsidiary and their global ambitions. She also revealed the strengths of Vietnamese tech firms in AI, automation, and Internet of Things, particularly in industrial manufacturing and healthcare.

Ole Linnet Juul, Senior Chief Advisor of the Confederation of Danish Industry, commended Vietnam’s recent strides, particularly in institutional reforms, technological advancements, innovation, and digital transformation.

He noted that Vietnam’s ongoing streamlining of administrative procedures have made the country more appealing to Danish firms, especially in green transition and renewable energy.

Le Thanh Hoa, Co-Founder and Head of Research at Lotus Microsystems, a chip design company headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a subsidiary in Cairo, Egypt, expressed keen interest in Vietnam and FPT’s semiconductor development strategies and their 3-5 year goals.

He specifically inquired about how FPT and Vietnamese firms are positioning themselves within the global semiconductor supply chain and how Vietnam’s semiconductor industry aligns with FPT’s AI hardware strategy to develop comprehensive AI-powered products./.
