Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,995 VND/USD on June 5, down 9 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,245 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,745 VND/USD.
At 8:10 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks also saw increases.
Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,894 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,254 VND/USD, up 24 VND from June 3 morning.
BIDV raised both rates by 14 VND to 25,884 VND/USD (buying) and 26,244 VND/USD (selling)./.
